Meet Luc...

This little one has been one of my top Favorites to ever photograph! This sweet, precious little baby boy has fought long and hard to be here and I believe will forever be an Angel here on earth. After a courageous 40 Days in the NICU,this incredibly strong little boy, pulled everything around and finally came home with Mommy and Daddy.

His amazing parents, Candace and Devin, are true examples of Pillars of Strength! They have endured so much in what every parent perceives will be a beautiful, seemingly easy, natural "process"...and through it all their love and bond as a family was amazing to see. Baby Luc is the most precious little boy! His eyes say it all, he has a warmth and strength and love in them. To hold him on our photo shoot and play with him as he smiled away, was truly a blessing for me...He is such a Gift from God...and I have a strong feeling all of those who know him, will know him and have grown to love him too through this journey, feel exactly the same way. Thank you Luc for reminding us all that Miracles do come true!

Here are just a few "sneak peeks" for all of you!

Thank Heaven for Little Girls!

Of course, I could not possibly be more biased where these two little "Misses" are concerned, but considering one is My "little" girl (and I use that term carefully as she is 3 going on 13) and the other is my beautiful Grandbaby, who affectionately calls me "ga-ma-ma" we could not be more blessed as a family to have these two little ray's of sunshine, that I am positive are not only going to grow up and continue to be best friends ...but I'm sure are going to have us pulling our hair out at times. I'm thinking Gabby is going to be the ring leader when these two get themselves in trouble...LOL!

Enjoy!

The cardiovascular benefits of kettlebell training are also unprecedented. Just 45 minutes of kettlebell training can burn 700 to 1000 calories in one session. Many clients have experienced dramatic changes to their body composition within the first 4 to 6 weeks of kettlebell training. Kettlebells build strong, lean and toned bodies. Total Failure Training Concept,as Designed by Head Trainer Dave Trujillo:

The term “total failure” can be misconstrued by its initial interpretation by those who are relatively new to the weight training “game”. To break it down for those who question the theory and concept, its origin and mentality comes from the earlier days of weight training in which we now call “Old School”. When there were no fancy cardio machines to tell you when you can quit or weight machines that told you what to do, one had to rely on self motivation and perseverance to push them selves to be better than the other. Free-weights, guts, sweat, dedication and a will to be the best. When exhaustion was achieved, it was only the beginning.

A typical session performed by an individual who figures they have a “good” exercise routine may lack the intensity and will to push their body past a certain limit where few, now a days ever experience. This relates to exhaustion and how a particular individual greets it. When training using the Total Failure concept, that particular individuals state of mind is altered to believe they can and will excel past the point of exhaustion and thrust the body into another realm where eventually the body will fail and reach “Total Failure”…thus creating maximum results in a shorter period of time. Total Failure is total success…take control and be the best.

SO-CAL Top Chef Tasting and Awards Dinner at Journey at Pechanga

I had the extreme pleasure of being the featured events Writer and Photographer for The Temecula Insider last Monday evening. Take a look at how incredible the night's event turned out...

Monday, November 14th was a fantastic celebration for an even greater cause. The event which drew hundreds of local residents, businesses and most assuredly golfers, was in honor of the Oak Grove Center for Education Treatment and the Arts. “This was our 4th annual event for Oak Grove… we have doubled in size since last year!  It’s truly incredible to see such a tremendous turnout of support!” said Tammy Wilson, CEO of Oak Grove Center.

The day’s events teed off with the Oak Grove Golf Classic and ended with a delectable evening that left no taste-bud dissatisfied. The Southern California’s Top Chef Event consisted of 9 local chef’s competing to win the People’s Choice Award for Top Chef.  The participating chef’s included…

Chef Francesco Cusimano,
Owner & Head Chef of
Rustico Ristorante Pizzeria in Murrieta, Ca.

Chef Sebastian Crivello
Head Chef and Co-Owner of
Crivello Ristorante Italiano, since 2003.

Chef Tim Nalick
  Sous Chef of
Pachenga Resort and Casino

Chef Sharon Cunningham
 Head Chef and Owner of
Table Talk Catering

Chef Dominic Sanchez
 Executive Chef of
The Gambling Cowboy Chophouse & Saloon

Chef Steve Stawinski
 Executive Chef of
Wilson Creek Winery

Chef Mike Terry
Executive Sous Chef of
Vineyard Rose Restaurant at South Coast Winery Resort & Spa

Chef John Tracy
 Executive Chef of
The Lazy Dog Café at Promenade Temecula

Chef Ramon Garcia
 Head Chef of
Grapes and Tomatoes

The evening transpired with much mingling and taste testing, silent and live auctions and one incredible rendition of our National Anthem by none other than our very own  Brewer Boys! As the end drew near, diners cast their final votes for this years Top Chef! A resounding laughter and cheer erupted when Chef Francesco Cusimano of Rustico Ristorante Pizzaria won for his excellence in Presentation, Artistic Interpretation and best of all Taste! Congratulations Chef Cusimano on your 2011 Peoples Choice Award for Top Chef of Southern California!

It is important to take note and remember most what this spectacular evening was designed to do…raise both money, awareness and support for the Oak Grove Center for Education, Treatment & The Arts and to work towards attaining their goal of raising $500,000 to build their Gymnasium-Mulit-purpose room project that will include a CIF-sized Basketball and Volleyball court, a Performing Arts Room, Occupational Therapy-Play room and a recreational area.

Oak Grove Center for Education and The Arts, a nonprofit organization founded in 1989, is a 24 hour educational and residential treatment center that serves 76 children full time and 90 day students with a variety of psychological, social, emotional, behavioral, medical and neurological problems that stem from behavioral difficulties, school problems, family dysfunction, sexual abuse and other traumas. Through a contract with Riverside Department of Social Services, Oak Grove now provides Wraparound services to families struggling to reunite with a child who has been removed from their care or is at risk of having a child removed. In addition, Oak Grove at the Ranch, their second WASC Accredited Non-Public School facility, located in Perris, CA provides a comprehensive, standards-based program including vocational, therapeutic and transitional services. Both campuses now provide Autism Services.

Enjoying this event with our community, chatting with friendly faces, watching a room full of happy strangers engaged in conversation, laughter,  a gentle crisp fall breeze, a glass of wine on the patio by the fire, the water towers glowing in the background of the serene golf course view…. a beautiful evening that sums up perfectly that which we all have the pleasure of partaking in and most assuredly that which Oak grove strives to make their mission “rebuilding the lives of at-risk children and their families through education, healing restoration, restoring relationships, building character and instilling hope.”

Holiday Cuties!

Today I realized that not only have I absolutely, hands down, found my passion, but I have found a gift that God has given me to have the privelage to meet, photograph and be a part of so many families special moments and the special little lives that make up those moments!

This adorable two-some kept me in absolute stitches. The best part of the end of my days...I take away the wonder that never ceases to amaze me of how precious all of our lives really are :)

Here's a sneak peak...
