Top Chef!!!! Temecula Style...

That's Right!!! Are you ready to kick off an evening of my Favorite subject???

FOOD!

As the featured writer for this Event, for the Temecula Insider, Come join me for an evening of Fun, Food and Oh!...Did I mention the Best Chef's in Southern California?!

Southern California's Top Chef Competition returns! The 4th Annual “Chef Open” event benefiting the Oak Grove Center for Education, Treatment & The Arts is this Monday, November 14, 2011, at Journey at Pechanga. The event will begin at approximately 4pm, right after the charity golf tournament, also benefitting Oak Grove Center.  Proceeds from both fundraisers will be applied to the goal of raising $500,000 for a new gym/multi-purpose room at the non-profit school located in Murrieta, CA.

The pressure will be on for the following chefs to compete in several categories including the People’s Choice Award voted on by all 300 plus people attending the event.  The competing chefs at this year’s competition include:

  • Chef Sebastian Crivello from Crivello Ristorante Italiano
  • Sous Chef Tim Nalick from Pechanga Resort & Casino
  • Owner & Chef Francesco Cusimano from Rustico Ristorante
  • Executive Chef Steve Stawinski from Wilson Creek Winery
  • Chef Sharon Cunningham from Table Talk Catering
  • Chef Dominic Sanchez from Gambling Cowboy
  • Executive Chef John Tracy from The Lazy Dog Café
  • Executive Sous Chef Mike Terry from the Vineyard Rose Restaurant at South Coast Winery Resort & Spa
  • Executive Chef Ramon Garcia from Grapes & Tomatoes

Each chef will be judged on three categories including presentation, artistic interpretation and taste.  There will be one People’s Choice Award winner that will be crowned “Top Chef of Southern California”. 

Tickets to attend the Chef Open event are $45 and can be purchased by visiting www.OakGroveCenter.org.  Tastings begin at 4:00pm, See you there!
